WorkKeys

About WorkKeys

WorkKeys® is an assessment given to Alabama high school students currently in the 12th grade.  It is a skills assessment system that measures foundational and soft skills.

WorkKeys measures skills that employers feel are essential to success in the workplace. The three testing areas of WorkKeys are:  Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, and Reading for Information.  Each of these areas offers varying levels of difficulty, which build on each other, incorporating the skills assessed at the previous levels.

Successful completion of WorkKeys assessments in Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, and Reading for Information can lead to earning the National Career Readiness Certificate™ (NCRC®), a portable credential earned by more than 3 million people across the United States.
